Sarvis Empowerment Café
A 1960’s cafeteria space is under renovation for use as a new eatery for Calvert Kenilworth Business Park. Sarvis Café will provide healthy and delicious breakfast and lunch.
Sarvis Café will serve about 800 employees in Jemal’s Calvert Kenilworth buildings, nearby businesses, customers and clients served by these businesses. In the UMD Discovery District, 5,000 professionals and workers will be served by the café.
Renovation on Sarvis Cafe is nearing completion, and we are expecting to open in early summer 2021. The cafe will provide healthy and affordable meal options, community programming for residents, and on-the-job training in culinary arts & customer service.
