    Emergency Rental Assistance Programs

    When funds are available, these programs offer assistance with rent in order to prevent eviction and homelessness. Some programs also occasionally assist with security deposits or first month’s rent, particularly for families currently experiencing homelessness.

    Prince George’s County Homeless Prevention Services

    Instructions: Applicants will be asked a series of screening questions when they call, in order to determine eligibility for assistance. These questions are listed on the website, as well as other needed documents (such as pay stubs, IDs, lease, Social Security cards).

    Instructions: Orientations are held on the 1st day of each month at 8:30AM (on the first Monday if the 1st is a weekend). Applicants must attend the orientation to be eligible, and should call a few days ahead of time to announce their intention to come to the orientation. Applicants are picked via a lottery system at the orientation. There is a list of required documents on the website, which includes IDs, proof of residence, Social Security cards, pay stubs, and proof of expenses.
